I have a condo/an apartment. --> 擁有一戶公寓
I live in a condo. --> 擁有一戶公寓並住在裡面
I live in an apartment. --> 住在一戶公寓裡, 可能是分租/租整戶/或者買的

反過來說, 如果我在大都市的某社區大樓裡租了一間小套房(a studio apartment)
就不該說  I live in a condo.
而應講 I live in an apartment.
